Gotta bring out the dark archons if someone masses capital ships. There's a mission in the brood war campaign where that's literally how you're supposed to fight it, just take all the enemy carriers. You have to mass shield batteries though because they expend their shields when they cast mind control, but even if you lose every dark archon it's still cost-effective if they each took a battlecruiser since dark archon is not only cheaper than BC, but you get the BC. Not to mention you can just teleport the BCs right back to the enemy...

So why did you circle chicken coops and say dont build this on the video thumbnail? Is that because chicken coops can always be built, and by circling them and saying not to would draw in even veteran players to see what you know and why we wouldnt make them?......Because thats called click bait. Is youre thumbnail click bait? What a waste of my time
My 1 tip to you would be to use less consumables (at least the ones that only lasts for 1 round). It doesn't matter if you win or lose until you lose all your HP (besides that you don't want it to be a complete one sided stomp of course, or you won't get any xp). Using consumables from the beginning is just bleeding money. It also reduces the xp you can get from killing enemies (although it also denies xp to stuff it kills of course). Consumables is best used to win decisive battles that decide the entire match, not every battle, as they just put you behind on economy. It's like when you play magic: the gathering. You don't care about losing or spending your HP before it actually hits 0. So you shouldn't really think of the game as individual rounds, but rather a whole match. For example if you leave an enemy counter alone for a while but you're not losing too badly (or even winning) it might make sense to actually not counter it right away. Then when you finally do put the counter in place you swing the battle so hard they take massive damage.

It's so sad you didn't use maelstrom storm combo. Also you can't mind controle sc2 ultralisk but you can mind control sc1 ultralisk. Use more dark archont and arbiter please.

My rich clay deposit is "too steep to build on". I tried every possible spot, even rotating didn't help, all of it was "too steep". I also tried placing roads around to flatten the area but still no. Only realised this after playing for nearly 2 hours. While in early access I recommend checking that you can build on all the deposits.
I think it's really funny that Firebats are so good vs Zerg in this, because I have always heard so much sh!t thrown at Firebats over the years. GiantGrantGames is a big voice of it in recent memory. Whenever they talk about SC1 Terran, they mention that Firebats are awful.
If no space for Depos, build CC nad lift them.
There is something so satisfying seeing SC1 units pissing on the SC2 ones, specifically the BCs from SC1 over the battlecruisers from SC2.
Optic flare is good for drops. Flare the medivacs, or the warp prism. Great for scouting units and detectors like observers, or overlords/overseers.
what irks me the most is the supply depot being 2x2 instead of 3x2

Are SC1 Ghost just not good? I never see them used
they are only good in very specific situations and the tech path to get them is silly. you sometimes see them against carriers and battlecruisers because lockdown is the hardest counter ever.

problem with this mod is that several units' stats are not true to their original like marine with 45hp or ghost with55hp or BC with 550hp...Just feel so wrong.

There is some cool units in SC2 like banelings and colossus but overall i really prefer the OG races.

I did that: I spent all my money. I raided a Bandit camp and carried on. I demolished my logging camp and ran out of logs! So I demolished the church I was building to have logs to build another Logging camp! It has been a struggle but it's great to succeed!
been playing this mod a lot lately and i must say it is BIZZARE having to spam so many macro hatches so fast just to keep up with your income. It feels so wrong to build 4-5 hatches in the first 5 minutes of the game but you literally don't get enough larvae otherwise xd

It seems Winter forgot that the "no ranged damage" under Dark Swarm applied to his own units. Plague would be more useful against Zealots.
2:26:12 I think the strongest opener for BW zerg into SC2 races is probably just blind speed ling with a creep colony in the mineral line, then tech hydra or muta and upgrade the colony to sunk or spore depending on scouting. Speed ling will keep the opponent pretty busy for a few minutes unless hellion hits hard before your follow-up, but for SC2 toss and zerg +1 attack lings with speed are really solid if it hits fast. The third sunk and second gas could have been 8 more zerglings.

Are SC2 zealots not able to slaughter dragoons like BW zealots? It seems like just going straight into charge zealot would be a much better response than stalker/immortal.
I remember someone telling me that they used to cast optical flare on your own spidermines back in the day to lower the distance they activated on, apparently that made them harder to counter

Love the redo for SC2 of this SC1 map. Hope that ground have the same anti build characteristics as it had in multiplayer games in SC1.
